13-16 April @ Malmö Theatre Academy -------------------->

”Iridescence is an optical phenomenon of surfaces in which hue changes with the angle of observation and the angle of illumination.”

Come along on a walk through Malmö - at the same time a walk in a whole other place: Malmö 20 years ago. The city that is here today and the city received record high numbers of immigrants from the Balkan war. Through video-walks we double-expose stories from different time, showing how people where taken in and how they took in. Then and now. The memories are like a layer over the city, a layer of time that might be closer now than ever before but only can be seen from certain angles when the light falls on it the right way.

Bombina Bombast have been guided by people with experiences from Malmö as an arrival city but also by heroes that did everything in their power to make us feel welcome in Sweden and with their stories we created a number of video-walks through the city gathered under the name WALKS: iridescent. The films are premiered during the festival Transistor but will be presented in an app for anyone to experience them at any time.
